
PASTOR BRUCE JACOBS
Bruce was born and raised on a farm in Macon County. He graduated from Macon High School in 1975 and Millikin University in 1979. He married his high school sweetheart Cheryl Sullivan, December 30, 1977. Bruce then graduated from Garrett Theological Seminary on the campus of Northwestern University in 1987 preparing for ordination in the United Methodist Church. Bruce served as a pastor in the United Methodist Church for 15 years before deciding to return to Macon County and start an independent, non-denominational church.
The Jacobs' have three boys Ryan (29), Drew (23) and Cody (17). Drew recently married Lacie Farley and they blessed the family with Emma who will soon turn two years old. Cheryl recently retired from Hickory Point Bank after 22 years of service to the Archer Daniels Midland Company with several stops in between while the family moved around through the United Methodist system.
Ryan along with his partner owns two pizza businesses in Champaign and Decatur and is planning a June, 2011 wedding with Meagen Fickinger. Drew will graduate from Springfield college and then attend Millikin University in the fall of 2010 with a couple of years to complete his bachelors degree. Cody is a junior at Maroa Forsyth High School.
